Offcourse your dog is also welcome an board. As well as by the seal watching tours, as the daytrip and the single trip. If you bring more then two dogs please inform us. With the sandbank excusion we advise not to take the dog with you, it is difficult for your four-legged friend to walk, the dog must also not be loose on the sandbank but must remain on a leash.
You can sit inside while sailing and look out through the glass windows.
You can cancel up to two weeks before departure, you then pay 5 euros for administration and booking costs for the refund.
There is none. We sail from beach to beach and bring you on board via self-built wooden jetties.Adventurous! But keep in mind that bicycles and luggage must be brought on board by yourself via the beach. We will of course help you with boarding.
It depends. From ticket sales De Noorman you have to go to the jetty via a piece of beach, this is loose sand of about 5 meters. The wheelchair has to go far from the wooden jetty. It is narrow and not suitable for all wheelchairs. We always advise you to come and have a look yourself in advance so that you can assess the situation yourself and to avoid disappointment.
De Vriendschap interrupts the boatconnection at wind force 6/7 or higher. But extreme water levels can also make sailing (and driving on De Vliehors) impossible. You will be informed about this via the website, social media or by telephone. We can never guarantee your crossing, but do our best to sail yet another time. If this fails, you will receive the money for your tickets. De Vriendschap can not be held liable for any consequential damage caused by the failure of the ferry service.
We sail in accordance with the General Ferry and Beurtvaartconditions, filed with the court registry of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. This is available for inspection at our ticket office and on board passenger ship De Vriendschap. Liability De Vriendschap (Visserijbedrijf Blom BV)

Questions Sealtour
Questions Sandbank Excusion
The dog is welcome on schip, but on the sandbank it is not nice for the dog, in the mudd. The dog must be on lease.
You can just relax on the mudflats with your bare feet when the weather is nice. Otherwise, we recommend boots or old shoes that may get dirty when you enter the sandbar.
We do not sail during a storm, but the mudflats are beautiful in all kinds of weather.

The small, cozy and car-free island of Vlieland has one village: Oost-Vlieland. The elongated village street offers cozy shops, restaurants and terraces and ends at the harbor. The forests and dune areas offer the nature and peace seeker many opportunities. In the past (until 1927) the postal service ran to Vlieland via Texel. The Posthuys still reminds of these times. That was where the "post shipper" lived. Now it is the stop of the Vliehors Expres. From here you can explore the island by bike or public transport.
The 12-kilometer-long De Vliehors sandbar on the Texel side of the island is a unique area. Also called "the Sahara of the North", the largest sand plain in North-Western Europe. Throughout the week, this area is closed as a training area for the air force. De Vriendschap and the Vliehors Express have special permission from the Ministry of Defense to be able to carry passengers in this area.

History
In earlier days the post for Vlieland via Texel was taken over the 'Postweg' with the postvlet to Vlieland, where it was brought to 'het Posthuys' by horse and car. (You will come across the same 'Postweg' to our jetty) In 1947 the TESO (the local island ferry service between Den Helder and Texel) bought an old fishing boat, which after a renovation, maintained a ferry service between these two Wadden Islands. Because of the silting, the service was taken out of service in 1963. Since then, tourism has increased enormously and the line to Vlieland has become navigable again. That is when Sil Boon and Janka van den Brink dared to buy "De Vriendschap" in 1983 and to open the line again. The success can be measured not only by the enthusiastic reactions of the guests, but also by the countless publications that have appeared in the Dutch magazines over time. The tone is consistently 'full of adventure' and 'in style'.
