General
Day Trip: Bicycles are not allowed. One-Way Trip: Bicycles are allowed.
Dogs are welcome on the Seal Tour, Day Trips, and One-Way Trips to Vlieland. If you bring more than two dogs, please let us know in advance.
For the Mudflat Excursion, we do not recommend bringing a dog as the terrain is difficult, and dogs must remain on a leash on the sandbank.
Yes, you can sit inside and look out through the large windows.
That depends. From De Noorman, you need to cross 5 meters of loose sand to reach the pier. Then, you must navigate a narrow wooden pier, which is not suitable for all wheelchair types. We recommend checking the boarding conditions in advance to avoid disappointment.
In winds of force 8/9 or higher, the ferry service will be suspended. You will be informed via email, website, social media, or phone. If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a refund. De Vriendschap cannot be held liable for any indirect damages due to cancellations.
Cancellations are possible up to two weeks before departure, with a €5 processing fee for refunds.
Seal Tour
Yes, we stay on board and do not disembark on the sandbank to avoid disturbing the seals.
Mudflat Excursion
Yes! It is a unique experience for all ages. We provide buckets and nets for children.
Probably in the distance, but we do not sail directly to the seal banks.
One-Way Trip
• On Texel: Pick up your ticket 30 minutes before departure at De Noorman. If De Noorman is closed, your ticket will be ready on board De Vriendschap.
• On Vlieland: Tickets are available directly on board De Vriendschap.
De Vriendschap only operates between Texel and Vlieland. We do not offer connections to other islands.
Since weather conditions may cause delays, please plan extra time for accommodations and further ferry connections.

Public transport on Texel is simple and convenient.
- From the stop at De Noorman, you can take the Texelhopper minibuses to any destination on Texel. These buses serve 130 stops across the island. Reservations must be made at least one hour before departure. You can book by phone +31 222-784 000 or via the website, where you can also purchase digital tickets.
- Price per ride: €3.00
- Travel with a Texelhopper pass or a single ticket.
Texel has an extensive network of cycle paths in a very varied landscape. On Vlieland, you can indicate at the Vlielandvakantiewinkel that you would like to have a bicycle ready for you on Texel. For our Vlieland guests, there's plenty to do on Texel. How about a day of golfing on a very friendly and pleasant course? Or visit the Texel airport, where you can take a sightseeing flight and also visit the Aviation Museum. You can also simply enjoy a snack or drink and watch the coming and going of air traffic. For the adventurous, it's possible to make a tandem parachute jump and see the world from a completely different perspective! There are many more fun things to do on Texel.

With your feet in the sand, looking at the pier and the Wadden Sea, saying I DO to each other. It's possible! With a gazebo and chairs on the beach next to the pier, your dream might become reality. After the ceremony, you can board with your guests to sail to the seals and enjoy cake and toast along the way. Feel free to contact us for all possibilities! You can reach us by email or phone.
Saying goodbye is personal. If you have decided to scatter the ashes of your loved one at sea, we can arrange the journey for you. You can organize the ceremony entirely according to your wishes. You depart with De Vriendschap from the pier at De Cocksdorp. When we have found a suitable location, we turn off the boat's engine, and you can say goodbye in your own way, in peace and quiet. You can release the ashes into the water yourself. Following old tradition, we ring the ship's bell after the ceremony. We are happy to take time for you; the trip usually takes about an hour or as long as you wish. The costs for ash scattering depend on your wishes. Of course, we are open to all your questions and suggestions.
We operate according to the General Ferry and Scheduled Service Conditions, filed with the registry of the court of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. These are available for inspection at our ticket office and aboard the passenger ship De Vriendschap. Liability De Vriendschap (Visserijbedrijf Blom BV)
- De Vriendschap is never liable for damage to and/or loss of property of the guest. The guest brings all his/her property aboard entirely at their own risk.
- De Vriendschap is never liable for damage caused by death or injury to the guest, except in case of gross negligence or intent by De Vriendschap.
- De Vriendschap is never liable for damage to persons or property of the guest occurring while boarding the departure pier or the tour boat. The guest boards the departure pier and/or the tour boat entirely at their own risk.
- De Vriendschap is never liable for damage caused by delay at departure or during the tour.
- To the extent that De Vriendschap is liable for any damage, it is only liable for direct damage and never for indirect (consequential) damage, and this liability is limited to a maximum of the amount covered by its insurance.
- To the extent that De Vriendschap is liable for any damage not covered by its insurance, this liability is limited to a maximum of the invoice amount. It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to go to the boat's mooring place on the Vliehors on your own; you must EXCLUSIVELY use the transport arranged by us. The State of the Netherlands cannot be held liable in any way for any damage caused by possible explosives.
